There are several types of custom fields you can add into MyCase. Here is some information about each custom field type.

There are several types of custom fields you can add into MyCase. Here is some information about each custom field type.

Text (short)

User-added image

The Text (short) field should be used for information such as names, filing codes, ID codes, etc.

Text (long)

User-added image

The Text (long) field should be used for information such as long descriptions and notes.

Number

User-added image

The Number field should be used anytime you need to enter a number. Note: You can only enter numbers and decimal points into the Number Field. (If you are looking to enter a dollar amount, please use the Currency type.

True/False

User-added image

The True/False field will give you a checkbox that can be selected. By default, the checkbox will not be selected.

Date

User-added image

The Date field will let you specify a date from a dropdown date picker.

List

User-added image

The List field should be used when you would like to select an item from a pre-defined list of items. Learn more about Creating Custom Field Lists.

Currency

The Currency field should be used when you would like to automatically format a number as a monetary value.
